After two decades in luxury apparel, Rachel pivoted at the start of the pandemic to the healthcare sector, applying her deep knowledge of apparel development and supply chains to help mitigate the PPE crisis. In April 2020, she co-founded the nonprofit Garment District for Gowns to manufacture and donate PPE to underserved healthcare institutions. The former Head of Product Design & Development for Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, The Row, and Ralph Rucci, Rachel now leads her talented team at Goldatech, bringing innovation, sustainability, and freshness to healthcare apparel and uniforms for the US Armed Forces. Rachel is a graduate of Parsons School of Design where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.
Originally from the UK, Alexandra is a graduate of Central Saint Martins University in London. Alexandra excels at working with people to implement strategies, plans, and processes. The former Senior Knitwear Designer for Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior, Carolina Herrera, and Vera Wang brings her 10 years experience and knowledge of fiber science, weaving, and design to the team. Alexandra spearheads the development and sourcing of key materials for GoldaTech. Alexandra co-founded the nonprofit organization Garment District for Gowns to assist in the pandemic.
From red-carpet gowns to medical gowns, Amy is a master of patternmaking and fit. Amy has been sent worldwide to custom fit royalty, celebrities, models, and VIP’s for Oscar de la Renta and Marchesa. Her mother a nurse by profession, Amy has had a lifetime of learning the inner workings of what healthcare workers want to wear. Amy co-founded the nonprofit organization Garment District for Gowns to assist in the pandemic. Born and raised in Kentucky, Amy is a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio.
Passionate about research, analysis and process improvements, Alessandra has spent the last decade overseeing Manufacturing, Production and Quality Control for The Row and Opening Ceremony. With extensive experience in both domestic and international production, she enjoys working closely with manufacturing partners no matter where they are located to achieve the best quality product and most strategic workflow. Born and raised in Australia, Alessandra is a graduate of RMIT University in Melbourne, and FIT in New York City.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, Emmanuel is a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City. A designer by trade, Emmanuel oversees all internal and external communications and strategy, ensuring the company message is consistent and engaging. Previously a designer for Oscar de la Renta and Coach, Emmanuel now uses his design skills in a new medium- from the company website, to logos, graphics, packaging, and all marketing materials.
